Phoenix Chamber Folk Ensemble

(For the Members Resources page, please use the link in the email)

The Phoenix Chamber Folk Ensemble is a new project which began in January 2020. It is intended to provide an opportunity for competent players to learn, and perform, challenging and musically interesting arrangements of folk repertoire.  Please click here for an example of the tune arrangements we will be working on.

Our aim is to establish mixed instrument ensemble of around 12-20 adult musicians. Membership is open to competent players of any instrument, although places may be limited in order to achieve a good balance. The ensemble will meet twice per month during term times, on Saturday afternoons, at St George's URC, Newton Road, High Heaton, NE7 7HP.

The cost of the first workshop series (10 sessions, Feb-July 2020) is £50 and places can be reserved below. If you have any questions, you are very welcome to contact us.
